Sharon Duncan is hosting the wedding themed evening at Moffat Town Hall on Friday to both fundraise and raise awareness of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
It will also be in memory of her son, David Hill, who passed away unexpectedly during a rugby match between Irish and Scottish parliamentarians last year. His passing was doubly traumatic for his family as Sharon and David’s father were unaware of any potential life threatening condition affecting their son.
“We will never know why it happened on that day and at that time, but I’m doing all that I can to keep his memory alive and to raise awareness of sudden cardiac deaths because in the UK 12 young people a week are dying in the same way David did.
Tickets for the murder mystery event are still available from Moffat Town Hall and donations can be given online at: www.c-r-y.org.uk/david-hill/.
