Thousands of pounds have been raised in memory of three “special” women who shared a passion for song and dance.
The ‘Never Forget’ charity event took place at the Solway Hall in Whitehaven on Saturday and raised a total of £4,477, which will be split between Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) and Breast Cancer Now.
The fundraiser, organised by Beth Clark of Sing Stars singing school, was held in memory of Tuqiri Blackwell, Janice Burns and Jacqui Quinn, who were involved in Sing Stars and Stage Stars.
“It was an emotional but amazing day and I know they will have be with us. A big thank you to everyone involved. We couldn’t have done it without them.
“We are already getting ready for another one next year!”
