Olivia Moorman
Olivia Rose Grace Moorman 08.03.2000-25.05.2024
Our beautiful Olivia sadly passed away peacefully but unexpectedly in her sleep on 25/05/2024 at her boyfriend’s family home. She was healthy and happy and her passing has been a huge shock to everyone who knew her. She was just 24. #forever 24#
Olivia was a much loved daughter, step daughter, sister, step sister, granddaughter, girlfriend, ambulance crew member (KCAS/Bears) and so much more to so many.
Olivia was planning a future with her boyfriend. They were saving for their own home. Olivia was excited for the next part of her journey. She really wanted to be a mother but not until she had her own home. Her friends had started to have babies and ‘aunty’ Olivia was desperate to join them. She adored children. Her future plans and our hopes for her have been so cruelly and suddenly snatched away.
Olivia will always be remembered for her kindness, infectious smile, striking big blue eyes and long legs. She is loved beyond measure and will be missed endlessly.
Whilst we do not yet know why she passed, our family wish to raise awareness of CRY to try to increase screening in the hope of preventing future sudden deaths in young people. We were shocked to read how many families suffer similar tragedies each week. We feel there needs to be a national screening programme to reduce this number and prevent other families going through the pain of losing a child like this.
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) raise awareness of young sudden cardiac death, support those affected, support CRY’s screening programme and fund research and pathology.
