Mezzo soprano Clarissa Meek will be one of the singers appearing at the annual Opera in the Park event at Devonshire Park on June 17 (7.30pm).
Clarissa studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She has performed as a principal for the royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Glyndebourne and Scottish Opera. She also performs regularly on oratorio and concert platforms throughout Europe. Also appearing on the evening will be soprano Tasmin Coombs, tenor Mark Chaundy and baritone Andrew Rupp. Accompanist will be Gareth Hancock.
the event is organised by Eastbourne AM Rotary Club and it is in aid of three local charities – CRY, Make a Wish and SASBAH. Tickets cost £20 from Old Town Music, Reid & Dean or call 722439.
Guests may picnic in the grounds of the park before the concert.
