Sunday 15th October saw the Oxford Half Marathon and 15 of Clarissa’s friends took on the very brave decision to run 21.1km around the Oxford course supported by further friends and family who had travelled from all over the country to be there for this fundraiser for CRY in Clarissa’s memory. It was a cold morning but the sun was shining and there was not a cloud in the sky. Clarissa had set it up perfectly. Not only were non-runners running, encouraged by more seasoned athletes, but they all had huge smiles on their faces as they did their friend, herself a keen runner, proud. To their enormous credit, these youngsters have raised £21,860 for CRY to support research, screening and awareness of the conditions which can lead to sudden cardiac death. A phenomenal effort by everyone involved.
