A sequel, the cheque handover, of the Fermanagh Shadow Youth Council's hosting of the concert 'Pump it up' in October last year to raise money for the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) took place in the Lakeland Forum last Thursday night.
The event was attended by over 400 young people who were treated to a wealth of young Fermanagh talent in the form of dancers, singers and musicians.
The group wanted to present CRY with the proceeds from the concert and, also, to celebrate the achievement and relive some of the atmosphere from the night. It was decided by the entertainment project group to invite two of the bands back to play at an event and to present CRY with a cheque for £1,500.
The cheque was presented to David and Paul Martin, brothers of Richard Martin, the Portora student who died from a cardiac related illness.
John Lundy, the Northern Ireland representative for CRY and the McElhill family, whose sons are both represented on the CRY poster, were also present.
A great night was enjoyed by all who enjoyed the music from 'Jimmi' and 'The Boners.'
