26th September 2010
Thank you and congratulations to all the CRY runners who made it on Sunday 26th. Because of transport problems (planned and unplanned closures; and delays on the Jubilee line) the start of the race was delayed by 45 minutes to allow as many runners as possible to get to the start.
CRY did not have a stand at the event but set up a ‘meet-and-greet’ point – with a CRY flag and banner – manned by CRY staff Charlotte Mackenzie and Rebecca Zouvani, who gave out goody bags to CRY runners.
We had 28 runners in the CRY team this year; Liz and Simon Bateman (who came all the way from Australia), Marc Batista, Toni Branch (running in memory of Adam Donnelly), Sarah Brennan (running in memory of Scott Rennie), Jack Breuer, Lucie Briggs (running in memory of Hayley Crook), Iulia Cretu (running in memory of Dan Cretu), Sam Crook (running in memory of Hayley Crook), Helen Crosby, Nicola Fitzgerald (running in memory of Adam Donnelly), Simon Goodman, Kim Gunn, Rik Hardy, Kristan Johnstone, Paul Joyce (running in memory of Adam Donnelly), Moti Jungreis, Sandyha Murali, Ryan Patrick O’Connor, Nigel Philip, Nicky and Martin Russell (running in memory of Hayley Crook), Sharon James (running in memory of Jonathan James), Clare Stroud, Tony Tolley, Oliver Wilson, Julia Wilson, James Wong and Jacqueline Yardley.
We were delighted to meet runners and their supporters before and after the race. If any of our runners have additional photos, particularly action shots, please do send them to [email protected]
If you would like to run for CRY in the Run to the Beat Half Marathon next September (date TBC) please email [email protected] for further details.
