We will never forgot the day we found Sam collapsed when he had returned home from a run on the park. Our loving and caring boy who was an integral part of our life being there one moment and not the next left us devastated. A sense of injustice of how someone so young and healthy, and so alive could just die with no warning.
Since Sam’s death we are trying to raise awareness of sudden arrhythmia death syndrome and carrying out fundraising to enable us to hold Cardiac Risk in the Young screenings locally. These screenings can detect undiagnosed heart conditions like Sam’s and help prevent further deaths in young people. All donations will help towards providing future screenings.
