Samuel John Little
The lovely Samuel (Sam) Little has died suddenly on 15th February 2022 aged 31, son to Kathy Smith and Stan Little, younger brother to Joseph Little, fiancé to Charlotte Bright and architectural collaborator with Ryan Cook. Such a bright rising star; so funny, creative, curious, talented, enthusiastic and at the leading edge of developing sustainable building techniques and teaching architects and designers to think differently about reuse and repurposing buildings especially those made of steel.
Born in Manchester. Graduate of Hereford 6th Form College, Hereford College of Art, The Royal Drawing School, London Metropolitan University School of Architecture, and the Architectural Association. Intrepid traveller to Europe, Uganda, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Jordan, and Israel. Award winning ‘Adam’ Scholar drawing minarets in the desert in Iran. Finalist in the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2016. Violin player with the Hereford indie rock band Talons.
Messy, untidy, always busy and driven but most of all a wonderful, engaging, happy, beautiful, fair-minded person, full of integrity. He loved Charlotte, his friends and family including Alfie the dog, his colleagues and collaborators, as well as Art, Architecture, Drawing, Construction and Design.
We are all devastated and missing him so much already.
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) raise awareness of young sudden cardiac death, support those affected, support CRY’s screening programme and fund research and pathology.
