Tomorrow is the fifth anniversary of Kevin Paterson’s death, and his family are marking it with a heart screening for 100 young people at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland. Patricia Toft, Kevin’s mother, has raised thousands of pounds for CRY since his death, she said, “Kevin is a huge miss, he was such a big character. He loved life and did have a wonderful life. “He didn’t believe in doing things by half. I think he would be really pleased with the work we have done.”
