Roses and Pirates put on a single launch for “Fay’s Song” and to raise money for CRY at the same time – in memory of their friend and drummer, Fay Howell.
The event was held on 27th September at The Bantam Cock, a local bar, after a last minute change of venue which caused an almighty panic that the gig couldn’t go ahead!
On the night we wanted to share Fay’s last musical work with as many people as possible and spread the word about CRY. We raised £145 on the night and the success of the single launch is still yet to be found out.
It was a great turn out and an enjoyable night, with an emphasis on remembering Fay – emotional yet positive at the same time. The girls are going to continue to raise money for CRY with gigs they do.
