Myself and Andrew Quew did a charity skydive on 28th July 2012, in memory of Andrew’s wife, Gemma. To date we have raised £2,274.41.
We made our jump from Neatherhaven Airfield near Salisbury. Unfortunately, our first attempt was abandoned due to bad weather at the last minute; but we were able to jump the following week.
Gemma was only 30 when she died suddenly on 26th May 2011.
She was a friend to all who met her and was an amazing wife to Andrew and mother to their daughter Catlin, who was only 2 years old when she lost her mother.
Myself, I have been good friends with Gemma and Andrew for many years, and was one of her best men at their wedding in 2004.
We have opened a Memorial Fund in Gemma’s name to hopefully raise enough money to be able to bring a screening unit to the Isle of Wight in the near future.
