SSTL’s Charity of the Year, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), kicked-off in September and to date we have raised an amazing £3924. As you will see, there are many way and varied ways that we have raised funds. Apparently the IS team is entirely reformed – so no more swear box pennies from them.
PayDay bingo started in October and we are hoping that this will gather momentum as a regular fundraiser. There are some decent cash prizes amounting to 50% of ticket sales – and it’s a lot of fun.
There will be another Quiz Night in the spring and possibly a regular photo competition following the success of the charity calendar, which came together in quick-time and generated a lot of interest from budding photographers as well as voters. More fundraising activities to come during 2015.
