A TEAM from a Taunton health insurer spent the entire time of a Somerset cricket match rowing, running and cycling as a tribute to a colleagueโs teenage daughter who died suddenly earlier this year. Following the sudden death of Freya Davidson, a colleagueโs 18-year-old daughter, in January, the WPA team has been doing numerous fundraisers in support of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), most recently raising ยฃ1,883 in a 285 miles marathon to bring the total raised so far to ยฃ3,174. On the 11th of August, WPA cycled, ran, and rowed for the entire duration of a cricket match at the Somerset County Ground, raising as much money as possible for Cardiac Risk in the Young. By the end of the day WPA managed to travel 285 miles across the three machines, and raised ยฃ1883.45 and [โฆ]
Earlier this year, a member of staff at WPA tragically lost their daughter who was just 18 years of age.
At the game, WPA are aiming to cycle, run and row for the entirety of the match and raise as much money as possible for Cardiac Risk in the Young UK.
Heathfield Charity Cup was won by Stuart House. House Captain William Davidson was called upon to collect the cup, he was the most successful fundraiser โ independently raising ยฃ287 for CRY from his wristbands, collection pots & cake sales. Stuart House raised a total of ยฃ886 for Freyaโs Memorial Fund.
Heathfield Community School Charity Week, 17-21st July 2023. Stuart House Year 9 Captain William Davidson proposed to raise funds for Freya & CRY via JustGiving. Students will fundraise all week for good causes.
