On 27th November 2010 JP collapsed and died suddenly from ARVC whilst playing hockey. He was extremely proud to still be playing for Aylesbury Hockey Club first team despite being 41. Aylesbury Hockey Club held a memorial tournament on 7th May 2011 and raised £500 from match fees and a barbecue. It was a great day
