Prudential RideLondon – Surrey 100 2014

Thank you and congratulations to the brave 38 CRY cyclists who took part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 on Sunday 10th August 2014. The 100 mile route was shortened to 86 miles due to the severe weather conditions, cutting out Box Hill and Leith Hill. The cyclists experienced all kinds of weather along the route. The

Pupils get a different kind of test at school

More than 90 youngsters were screened for heart problems in memory of two men who lost their lives to heart conditions. The event was held thanks to the Marcus Armstrong Fund, which started after the 28-year-old Dovercourt golfer died suddenly in 2006 from an undetected heart condition. His family pledged to raise money for Cardiac Risk


In memory of Marcus

Fundraising efforts in memory of a man who died, aged 28, of an undetected heart condition have so far raised £30,000. Marcus Armstrong’s family have been organising events to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young since he died, in 2006. His brother, Adrian and cousin, Helen, ran in the London Marathon for the charity,


Painting sale boost for Marcus' memory fund

Paintings went under the hammer for charity last week. More than £1,700 was raised for Cardiac Risk in the Young, after the art auction was held at The Ship, in Harwich.
