Rochdale Online, 17th April 2018
On Tuesday 17th April, Rochdale MP, Tony Lloyd signed CRY’s pledge calling for a national strategy for the prevention of young sudden cardiac death.
My Lloyd said, “I am astonished to learn that 12 young people die per week in the United Kingdom from undiagnosed cardiac conditions. In total this means over 600 people die every year in such a way, which means that it is likely that these figures include someone in Rochdale. It is crucial that we raise awareness of these conditions and it is only right that we work to stop these deaths from happening.”
