Congratulations to all our runners who took part in the Windsor Half Marathon 2016!
The sun was out and we only had a couple of light rain showers throughout the day, which was lovely for the families and friends who came to watch but tough running conditions for the team!
Many of the runners came to meet us before the race so CRY staff Rosie and Nicola were able to wish them good luck! The Windsor Half Marathon is a tough course as it is so hilly. The CRY team should, therefore, be very proud to have completed this challenge.
9 of the 11 runners came back to the CRY stand after the race. Richard Gordon was the first CRY runner back at the tent with an amazing finishing time of 1 hour 32 minutes and 11 seconds. We provided our runners with refreshments and a goody bag as well as persuading them to have their picture taken for the CRY website with our selfie frame!
The CRY runners were: Jayne Carruthers; Christopher Creissen; Claire Fahy (running in memory of Nick Sketchley); Richard Gordon; Bobby Hellard (running in memory of James Redington); Janet Kendall (running in memory of Timothy Charles Edwards); Mark Lennox; David O’Connor (running in memory of Adam Lambert); Jo Sketchley (running in memory of Nick Sketchley); Simon Smith (running in memory of Stuart Hudson); Nicola Taylor
